Kids in the Kitchen – Harvest Market and Street School

JLT members are interacting with their neighbors in a supportive setting and motivating them to make a difference in their homes and community.
The Junior League of Tulsa has conducted Kids in the Kitchen family cooking classes for seven years through a partnership with Global Gardens and the Westside Harvest Market, a not-for profit grocery store located in a low-income neighborhood with little access to fresh foods.

JL Charlotte—Kids in the Kitchen

The Junior League of Charlotte’s (JLC) Kids in the Kitchen program teaches and demonstrates the importance of healthy eating and nutritional knowledge.
This program has the potential to impact over 9,000 people. There are nearly 10,000 people living in the neighborhoods that feed into Reid Park Academy and the program is designed to directly impact the 6 classrooms that are participating in the lesson plans.
