How it works

JLCC’s annual Kids in the Kitchen event is hosted each spring at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, the region’s natural history museum for children, which is located in the center of the city and serves the target demographic. The three-hour event includes both interactive stations and food preparation demonstrations by local experts.

 What’s the impact?

The event usually draws over 300 children, contributing to the Healthy Lifestyle program’s yearly milestone of reaching over 1,500 children.
